Bursary Reimbursement Process
If the difference from original bursary request is more than 10% of the original bursary amount, it has to be re-approved through the same process as for bursary approval. Following this, the bursary may be forwarded to Navodaya following the same process as for other bursaries. The Treasurer, Treasury Team, Managing Director, and Chairperson will be authorized to approve and forward bursary reimbursement requests to Navodaya, in the following order of priority:
- The Treasurer will be the responsible person to forward the bursary requests to Navodaya.
- In case of the Treasurer’s unavailability, the Treasurer should communicate it with the Managing Director or assign it to another Treasurer Team member, for them to continue with the bursary reimbursement requests
- If the Treasurer is missing in action for seven days without taking reassignment action, the Managing Director may assign themselves or any member of the Treasury Team to be the responsible person to forward the bursary reimbursement requests. It is recommended that the Treasury Team communicate this situation to the Managing Director when it arises.
- If the Managing Director is also missing in action for a further three days (i.e. ten days from the original bursary reimbursement request being received), the Chairperson may assign themselves or any member of the Treasury Team to be the responsible person to forward the bursary reimbursement requests. It is recommended that the Treasury Team communicate this situation to the Chairperson when it arises.
